Clip Chart

Our class-wide behavior system will include a clip chart. All students begin their day on "Ready to Start the Day" (green). When children forget the rules, they are given a verbal warning.  Continued misbehavior will result in the student moving down the clip chart to "Think About Your Behavior" (yellow) and if behavior become persistent or severe, students will move their clip onto "Parent Note Home" (orange) which will result in a parent contact.

Students are also able to move up the clip chart to "GOING WILD For Your Behavior" (ping). This will not happen every day, as a student will need to exhibit outstanding kindness and/or leadership in some way for his or her clip to go up to pink. Examples of showing outstanding kindness and leadership are asking a new friend to play, sitting quietly when other students are being noisy during the lesson and talking out of turn, showing great hallway behavior when peers are not making good hallway choices, helping others in or on the classroom/cafeteria/playground, etc.

Every day, your child will have a behavior chart in his/her folder. This chart will detail your child's behavior each day and will also include their color at the end of the day. 

​

Student's will also have the chance to earn Mustang Money (classroom tokens) for good behavior and following the rules. Student's can save up their money to purchase a treasure from our class store.
